Minister opens new hospital  NSW Minister for Health, John Della Bosca, has today officially opened the new $145 million Auburn Hospital.

“The new hospital is an outstanding asset for Auburn and will ensure we are well placed to cope with the growing and changing health needs of the local community well into the future,” the Minister said.

Premier inspects new hospital. NSW Premier Nathan Rees today inspected the new $145 million Auburn Hospital which is set to take its first patients from tomorrow. Mr Rees said that Auburn Hospital is a prime example of the Government’s commitment to delivering new health infrastructure on time and on budget for NSW residents. “The new hospital, located adjacent to the old hospital building, includes state-of-the art operating theatres and world class birthing and maternity facilities,” Mr Rees said. “This facility is an outstanding asset for the Auburn community and will ensure the growing and changing health needs of local families are met now and into the future.” Mr Rees said that the NSW Government will continue to invest in major infrastructure projects like this which create jobs and help to stimulate the economy.
