Adolescent Ambulatory Care Center
All patients attending the Adolescent Ambulatory Care Center have complex biopsychosocial problems that require the ongoing services of a specialist multidisciplinary Adolescent Team.
A doctors referral to the Adolescent Ambulatory Care Center is necessary.
The Department of Adolescent Medicine hosts five outpatient clinics (sessions) per week and consults on average 120 - 140 young people and their families per month.

These clinics offer consultation and management of:
- Eating disorders anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and obesity
- Medically complicated attentional and learning disorders
- Psychosomatic illnesses
- Adolescent growth and developmental concerns
- Adjustment to chronic or acute illness or injury and transition to adult services
- Other complex problems requiring a multidisciplinary team approach
The Adolescent Ambulatory Care Centre is located within the Department of Adolescent Medicine, Level 2, C-D Block, Westmead Hospital.
