Allied Health

About Us

Allied Health (AH) is the "third arm" of health care - along with Medicine and Nursing - and the AH professions have a role in all stages of the care process. My first priority is to set up communication and discussion between the AH professions in the Area hospitals.

The clinical care streams will soon be developing proposals which will require allied health services, and I look forward to working with them and the Area AH staff on how we can best assist their ideas. Of course, there will also be opportunities to develop our own services. I hope that as a result of the stream process we will be able to better service medical streams, the community and the Area GPs. "
