This report presents a profile of mortality and morbidity statistics for
residents of the former Western Sydney AHS and comparisons with NSW's rates
over the last nine years from 1990. The focus is on major causes of death
and hospital separations, the latter used as a measure of morbidity. The
report uses data on deaths, hospital separations and cancer incidence obtained
from Health Outcomes Information and Statistical Toolkit (HOIST) - Deaths,
Inpatient Statistics Collection and Cancer Cases libraries.
