Service Profile
Western Sydney Area Mental Health Service (WSAMHS), part of Sydney West Area Health Service, is responsible for the administration and planning of public sector mental health services in Western Sydney. WSAMHS provides a range of services across the continuum of care: mental health promotion and illness prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment rehabilitation and maintenance. These services are provided to individuals, sub-population groups and/or whole populations across the age spectrum, and in a variety of settings including the community; acute and rehabilitation inpatient units; and supported accommodation.
Mission:
To improve the mental health and reduce the distress associated with mental illness in the community served by Western Sydney Area Mental Health Service.
