St Joseph 's Hospital is a service of the St Vincents & Mater Health Service therefore continuing the Mission of the Sisters of Charity. The hospital has a proud tradition of over 120 years of providing quality health care in a compassionate and highly personalised atmosphere.

The hospital is situated in Auburn, approximately 15kms west of the Sydney CBD (central business district) and approximately 15 minutes drive from Parramatta. The hospital is in walking distance to public transport ie: bus and rail services and close to the M4 motorway.

The proposed commencement month is February 2008.  Start dates may be negotiable.

The program duration is 12 months.

Employment status:

Continuous employment, post new graduate program, is given with permanent employment contracts on commencement.

Accommodation available/type:

There is no permanent accommodation available on the premises, however overnight accommodation is available upon request.

There are several local realty agencies offering permanent accommodation.

Program structure:

St Joseph 's Hospital offers a flexible 12 month new graduate support program. It offers rotation to all four specialty units and is tailored to the assist the new graduate in reaching optimal potential.

You will be supported by the nurse educators, nursing unit managers, nurse managers, clinical nurse consultants, clinical nurse specialists and other senior nursing and medical staff.
