Service Profile
The Department of Respiratory Medicine was established in 1979 under the direction of Professor Ludwig Engel. The Department has an international reputation for the quality of its research and application to clinical sciences, particularly in the areas of upper airway physiology and sleep-disordered breathing. The current director of the department is Associate Professor John Wheatley.
