19 September 2008 - Facade revealed!
Friday 19 September 2008: Local MP Barbara Perry (centre) inspects progress on the new hospital. 20 March 2008: Topping Out
Just a year after turning the first sod on the Auburn Hospital project, local MP Barbara Perry joined the Auburn team to celebrate the project "topping out" - a traditonal construction industry milestone which marks the completion of the last major piece of the top roof slab of the new building. See media release.
The site visit clearly illustrated how quickly the project is progressing - the new hospital is due to open in mid 2009.

9 March 2007: First milestone
NSW Minister for Health John Hatzistergos joined State local member Barbara Perry and Federal member Laurie Ferguson for a sod-turning ceremony at Auburn Hospital in March. They are pitcured below with long-term staff member Sonia Blaine (far left) and Sydney West Area Health Service Chief Executive Professor Steven Boyages (second from left).
