SOCIAL WORK
The Social Worker’s role is to provide a psychosocial assessment.Inpatients are seen by blanket referral.
The Social Worker is able to provide counselling in:
- personal issues such as family or relationship problems,
- bereavement issues, anxiety about illness etc.
- can assist with practical issues such as discharge planning and community supports, nursing home and hostel placement, financial problems, and guardianship issues etc.
